Young Adult Book Cover Reveals For September 2019!

Throughout the month of September there have been some fantastic cover reveals! Check out these amazing covers for upcoming Young Adult titles!

1.Incendiary by Zoraida Córdova

Revealed exclusively via the Barnes & Noble Teen Blog on September 9, was the cover for Córdova’s upcoming “action-packed epic fantasyIncendiary!

Alongside the cover reveal was also an excerpt of the prologue and chapter one.

Incendiary follows “Renata Convida, a child who’s magical abilities to steal memories wrought the wrath of the King and took thousands of lives with it. Now, she’s part of the Whispers, an alliance of rebel spies working against the crown, though they can’t quite trust and accept her abilities either. 2. The Perfect Escape by Suzanne Park

Through a Book Riot exclusive, both a cover and excerpt were revealed for Park’s #OwnVoices contemporary debut, The Perfect Escape!

This upcoming Young Adult contemporary has been pitched as a “hysterically funny rom-com debut, perfect for fans of Jenny Han!”

Here’s the full summary:

3. Mad, Bad & Dangerous To Know by Samira Ahmed

Teen Vogue revealed the cover and excerpt for Ahmed’s Mad, Bad & Dangerous To Know on September 10. Ahmed’s upcoming contemporary novel, according to the article, features “Paris, relatable college admission struggles, and an intriguing literary mystery…”

The novel is told from two alternating points of view following “17-year-old Khayyam Maquet—who is American, French, Indian, and Muslim—as she spends a summer trip in the famed City of Lights” and Leila from the 1800’s who “is struggling to survive and keep her true love hidden from the Pasha who has “gifted” her with favored status in his harem…”

Told from alternating stories that span centuries, we follow two young women who are trying “to write their own stories and escape the pressure of familial burdens and cultural expectations in worlds too long defined by men…”

On September 24, Elizabeth Acevedo shared via her Twitter, the cover and sneak peek into an upcoming journal, inspired by her debut The Poet X!
